The profile of this remarkable group is given by its "guru" Anton
Adasinski. He was formerly a mimer, but also a film-producer,
photographer, musician as well as a care-taker. He came from Siberia.
In search for his own programme he was strongly influenced by the
heritage of Tatsumi Hijikata, founder of Butho. In 1987 he established
a studio, and a year after together with the five chosen members formed
the community called Derevo ("Tree"), and presented his first piece,
"The Red Zone". Derevo was first presented in Hungary by MASZK in 1993.
