The Swaan Guard: Snow White - -

"The play Weaves together the bible and the story of Snow-White in such
a way thet certain characters and episodes of the tale become the
profane, often parodistic versions of biblical figues and events. In
other words, the biblical text is stripped by the performance, it is
deprived of its sacred/metaphorical level; some of its parts are
performed in ther primary meanings, which are often also parodied. Thus
the Bible as a grand narrative loses its absolute authority just as the
Hungarian and oriental legends or even the communist ideology brought
into play by some scenic and textual allusions do. The play does not
replace the totalities it destroys, so what reamains is uncertainty and
the chaos that incorporates the fragments...
The sketchy, complicated, and seemingly disordered but meaningful
staging devices represent a world view thet questions everything stable
in the world. In other words, the absolute of this Snow-White is total
relativity. The both of the universe and of the theatre in the play"
