Motto:
'Culture is a junk-heap where theatre and music grow, but still a junk-heap, dear friends.'
'This is life: the annihilation of questions.'
(Thomas Bernhard)
Two musical clowns in bowler-hats are sitting in the small space,
turning their backs on the audience. In front of them there is a
dressing mirror, they are staring at their reflection, but they can see
us as well, and we can see them, too, so everything is multiplied just
as in an absurd drama. Objects pile up, all sorts of odds and ends are
lying all around, some of them become musical instruments or other
useful things during the performance. Everything can become something
else, owing to the imagination and improvisation of the two
actor-musician-clowns. We are after something, the choice of the title
is not incidental: Music-Catastrophe Ð as if two characters from a
Beckett-play stood in front of us, as if, after the world had come to
an end, nobody else existed but them. Perhaps we also exist only in
their imagination.'
