'Since the end of the
war, there has been a premiere at the Theatre of Novi Sad almost every
week. The performances are very diversified in style and form, surprisingly
unusual, interesting, and of a high artistic quality. Sad destinies set
in a witty frame we could say we had a good time if we did not feel
or know the emptiness under the surface. The performance sets a frantic
pace, tells thoughts in a clear-cut way, the scenes are full of wit, and
the two actresses are more or less on the same level. Kriszta Szorcsik
lives her roles she lives in her roles, while Kinga Mezei plays her
roles authentically, convincingly. We see a completely new artistic
interpretation of The Maids where the Madam is played by a
real hen!'
