Teatr Novogo Fronta was established
in 1993 in St. Petersburg. They settled down in Prague after their
first European tour. They have played in the street, experimented with
improvisation and put classic plays on stage. The movements they use
have been compared to butoh dance, and their performances are built up
from pictures which exist on the borderline between mysticism and
abstraction, circus and modern dance. After their successful
performance in 1998 they are now presenting a new play. In Leaden Fog a
new member joins a cabaret company. Nobody knows who this person is,
but soon strange things start to happen. Only the old actor realises
that the newcomer is not a human being. In a few minutes war is
declared in town…
