Instead of comments:

‘Sin is not the most dangerous when it openly opposes virtue, but when it masks itself as virtue and infects our sense of recognition.’
(SÁNDOR WEÖRES)

Once in winter I saw a man, he was stooping forward at a right angle, propping his forehead on the radiator in the staircase; gripping the knobs of the heavily stuffed sacklike plastic bags on both sides, not moving. As I went upstairs, a man just about to walk his dog asked me: ’Haven’t you seen animals around here? Sometimes they sleep in here, you know.’
(ZOLTÁN PEROVICS /O)

’Neither the individual, nor mankind as a whole has become either cleverer, better, happier or more intelligent in the course of time. It became more mature. Novalis says, ’Man does nothing else but continuously returns home.’ Mankind does the same. We are five thousand years closer to our final homecoming. (…) For countless millenniums, the human heart, inseminated by its own image, has been expecting and pregnant: with itself. It has wanted to give birth to itself for infinite times with immeasurable pain and moving perseverance.’
(BÉLA HAMVAS: ANTHOLOGIA HUMANA, INTRODUCTION – EXCERPTS)
