Yvette Bozsik’s and Tamás Vati’s third duet is the last part of a
trilogy, the continuation of Xtabay and Double Trouble. This duet is
about soul mates who find each other and fight against each other at
the same time, somewhere on the peripheries of life and death, the
conscious and the unconscious. It is a series of visions inspired by
The Fiery Angel, a Valerii Bryusov novel that brings to mind the mystic
atmosphere of the Middle Ages. What we see are the bodies of a man and
a woman ‘imprisoned’ in their physical reality as death tears their
bodies and souls apart. The two dancers’ very personal confession is
about the contradiction of the wild, free world of their imagination
and the limits of their mortal bodies; about past love, choking
solitude, silence following death and the possible future…
