‘From the very beginning my artistic ambitions and choreographies were influenced by János Pilinszky’s poetry. Devoting my solo performance to him implies a deep commitment. At this stage what it “only” means is that the choreographer undertakes a kind of self-restraint: he has to discipline and humble himself during the creation procedure as much as the poet uttered, or suppressed, the words that were once entrusted to him.’
