The band started to form in the mid-90s. Although the founding members
had played in quite different bands, already at their first rehearsal a
brand new revolutionary style seemed to emerge, which they called ’fake
jazz’, and what they named themselves after. They played as a trio for
a long time, but in the spring of 2002 a Greek saxophonist joined the
band, and then Sena became their singer.
By now Kamu has become a frequent attraction in the Budapest nightlife.
They usually have two or three concerts a month, and are also planning
to travel a little in Europe so that they can put their name on the
map… and they would, of course, like to have an LP, a video, an awful
lot of money, a Mercedes, a yacht, a summer house, a family and a bunch
of kids one day… |
