The play is about an obsessive playwright who rewrites the story of Brutus. While doing this, he gets into bloody conflicts with his own characters. Funny and tragic scenes follow each other up till the shocking denouement. The performance was awarded the prize for best independent theatre workshop this year at the Fringe Festival in Budapest.
Radikális Szabadidô Színház has been functioning as the university theatre of Eötvös Lóránd University since 2002. It has had eight premieres, toured at several festivals, has been awarded all kinds of prizes and has had numerous street performances and literary readings so far. In the past years, they have studied the art of movement in theatre. Their performances are highly visual, experimental and avantgarde. They have regular actors’ trainings where they search for different forms of theatrical expression. The company has about 25 members now, working on different productions.
