My father is desperate. “Is this a boy at all or what? He cries all the time and he is afraid of the dark. Why is he like that? I did not raise him as a girl; I treated him like all the other boys.” He had no idea that I was plagued by the same question. If I am a boy, why am I unlike all the others? Why do I behave like this, why am I prissy, why do I use wide gestures, why is my speech so feminine? I did not know why I had become so different and it gave me terrible pain. “This boy’s childhood was a disaster, and he gives a detailed description of what had happened to him. It is about his confrontation with himself so he can be different from who he is. We examine and show how someone’s life is destroyed by the lack of understanding from his parents and surroundings and how he fights it.” (Roland Rába)
