Géza Hegedűs D., professor of the University of Theatre and Film’s graduating class, once told his student, Attila Vidnyánszky Jr., directing one of the scenes of Timon of Athens back then, that it is his dream role. That is how he got the title role of the performance in this production. The young creators try to find out how to match poverty and wars that surround us with the glitter of today’s consumer society.
The performance is a joint program of Szeged Open-Air Festival and THEALTER. 25 years ago István Nikolényi, the then director of Szeged Open-Air Festival, supported the launch of the first THEALTER. The two partners wish to commemorate this kind gesture with the performance.
