Figurina Theatre of Animation, the first Hungarian private puppet theatre after forty years, was founded in 1983 by Gábor Siklósi and his wife Klára Fers. The group regularly tours in Hungary and at international festivals as well as plays at several theatres in Budapest. Figurina likes to perform with puppets, but prefers more original forms of expression such as pure animation based on fantasy: acting with hands and objects. All their shows are written, created and performed by the group itself.
Tales of the Brothers Grimm are performed in this performance with simple objects of everyday life. Four of the most well-known stories (Snow White, The Hare and The Hedgehog, Sleeping Beauty, and Little Red Riding Hood) provide an excellent opportunity to show how to endow ordinary objects with life.
