Orlando is not the traditional active hero. His main enemy is himself,
who was given the task to live forever. The performance, built on the
triangle of movement, gesture and music, translates the troubling
thoughts of the original novel to the language of sensuality. It is a
passionate story of transformation regardless of whether Orlando is male
or female. Trojka Theatre Company was established in 2013 by
actor-choreographer-director Attila Soós. ‘Trojka’ means a set of three
in Russian, which, according to the director, is made up of the
creators, the performers and the audience. Their performances examine
the borderline between physical and classical theatre in each element of
the creative process.
The production was realised within the framework of the Staféta Programme of the Budapest Mayor’s Office. Sponsors and production partners: Staféta, Budapest Főváros Önkormányzata, Füge Produkció, Jurányi Produkciós Közösségi Inkubátorház, SÍN Kulturális Központ
