Balkan Connection is the union of a Croat (Boris Kadin) and a Serb (Kristian Al Droubi) under the direction of a Slovene director (Bojan Jablanovec) in the context of Joseph Beuys, Marina Abramović and Slovene philosopher and art theorist Bojana Kunst. In the three plays, they give their opinion about the intellectualization, mystification and impotence of contemporary art. The first piece is about categorizations in art, the second one reflects on a controversial scene of an earlier Via Negativa performance, while the third is a classical interview with an artist, with questions based on Bojana Kunst's texts. Via Negativa is an international performing arts project whose work is focused on the relationship between performer and audience in real space and time. It is a loose community of artists, under the artistic direction of Bojan Jablanovec.
