Enikő Éder’s solo performance
“I don’t know how to do it differently, this is all I know, and it is pointless to ask me, I can’t give you more. Someone else may come who promises more and sings better than us. But I do not know what else to do, this is all I know. Instead of miracles I can only offer a smile.” (László Bódi: A wonderful world)
I travel in sounds and words. My landscapes are my memories. The train schedule is in volumes, I open it at random to see where to go. I can get off and walk along the words if I want to. If you wish. My companion is the train whistle. I don’t have any luggage and what I brought to you may not be much or it may be everything: songs and words that mean a lot to me. One night, one station. Then we continue our journey. Only God knows where we are going. Come and play with me people. I’ll hide. Will you look for me?
“Sometimes actors also need an honest confession. When they can talk frankly about their fears, doubts, dreams, travels between countries and cities, about the other way between an actor and the audience. Confessing with words and melodies in unique places where one can recall memories. We make a tour with Enikő Éder in the land of imagination.” (Gyöngyi Bodolai, e-népujsag.ro)
Partner: Temesvári Csiky Gergely Állami Magyar Színház
The performance is hosted by Csillag Prison at the Dankó Pista Festival due to a long-term cooperation between Szeged Penitentiary and Prison and MASZK Association/THEALTER Festival.
