Takes place in Green Door, in Palic, at a rehearsed reading of Tolnai’s works where Kosztolányi Dezső (Theatre) falls over the paper cover of the Tolnai Encyclopedia, swimming, swimming… via Chicago…
MASZK Association has been cooperating with András Urbán, managing director of Kosztolányi Dezső Theatre in Subotica, since 2003. As a result of this cooperation, eight performances have been staged so far, some of which were awarded at national and international festivals. Upon the request of the twentieth THEALTER Festival their latest production is made on the occasion of Ottó Tolnai’s seventieth birthday, inspired by the poet’s new poem The Rose of Kishinyov. This is the third Tolnai adaptation in cooperation with MASZK Association.
Last year András Urbán received the ‘Jászai Mari’ Prize, in recognition of his outstanding theatrical and research activities. This year he received the ‘For Parallel Culture’ Prize of the Mediawave Foundation (organizer of Mediawave Festival) and the ‘Voivodian Hungarian Arts’ Prize of the literary journal Híd.
