The main figure is a dancer-actor-imitator, who travels round the world, commutes between France and Japan and talks about his journeys in a language of motions, and returns home … During his journeys he meets Orpheus (Félix Lajkó), who sits in the woods playing the zither. Every year they meet at spots with different acoustics, and try each other’s instruments while watching the manifestations of the body, music, dance and nature. These meetings take place at indefinite intervals under the current conditions, during a hot summer, in a cold winter, in windy or windless weather. The body starts to move and talks to us in motions, music asks questions and answers them, these two means of expression communicate.
Is the source of events the same, or is it their cause that is so similar, does an infinite coincidence induce the facts, the uninterrupted regularity of the scenes? Our former knowledge contains the infinity of facts. We must definitely ask the travellers’ questions when outlining our memories, depicting the stations of the performance. In the music and movements we must examine the emotional effects of symbols, which basically belong to the most simple, ancient concepts, like grass, tree, snow, sky and clouds. We must examine how music can interpret the colour blue, and how the body moves with this colour, and how pleasant taste and pleasure is expressed. Words cannot describe the manifestations of these phenomena, so we wish to find and create new forms, which by means of the instruments (zither and body) can transfer our experience, describe our difficult course of life looking for correlations in a way which is easy to understand.
