On entering a pub, we can always see the sign on the door saying PUSH (in Hungarian TOLNI). In spite of this Ottó Tolnai is not Anna Karenina. Ottó Tolnai is not Prince Myshkin. Ottó Tolnai is not Akaky Akakievich. Kosztolányi and árvacsáth (Tolnai’s cyclic poem) also agree with this. Ottó Tolnai has an overcoat. And it is not Ottó Tolnai who is under the overcoat but young Hungarian moths from Voivodina. Though the young Hungarian moths from Voivodina are not Ottó Tolnai. Or are they? All those who fit in Ottó Tolnai’s overcoat can become Ottó Tolnai, so there will be two Ottó Tolnais: Ottó Tolnai and Ottó Tolnai. If not, then the moths can eat and destroy Tolnai’s overcoat. It is not the young Hungarian moths from Voivodina that are to blame. But it is their fault if we can see Tolnai in his overcoat scratching himself. Because before leaving the pub, together with the guests of Víg Matróz Úszóház he also sees the sign on the door: TOLNI.
