cast: Béres Márta, Mikes Imre Elek, Mészáros Gábor, Pletl Zoltán movement: Kiss Anikó music: Mezei Szilárd directed by: Urbán András
In Roses, director András Urbán revisits an earlier piece, The Rose of Kishinyov, which he staged in 2010 based on the poem by Ottó Tolnai. His reinterpretation now focuses on the series of movements and physical actions, leaving out all the words except for an opening line. As he says: “It is a desire, a moment when you feel you don’t want to talk, you don’t want to use words, you want to communicate in a different form.”
