The Waiting Room Project was the first independent theatre company in Cluj-Napoca, founded by young actors after graduating from the Faculty of Theatre and Television at Babes-Bolyai University in 2009. Today the repertoire includes, among others, a piece based on experimental improvisation, a play about university students, a national drama performed in a classroom, puppet shows and a “propaganda performance”. Advertego is perhaps their most adventurous experiment. The creators do not usually tell the content in advance (nor later). They let it puzzle the audience. And when the spectators feel like laughing, and while laughing, feel a lump in their throat, they start thinking about what might have caused that laugh and that lump in the throat.
